And, many online brokers were securing actual service FROM Fleet Core for Denver customers, and then marking up the price to make their 3rd party profit.
Demand Generation Less Than Optimal
Fleet Core was experience weaker organic demand and growth and depending too heavily on current customers and a very small set of key businesses and industries. They needed expansion into new "fuel dependent" businesses and industries, and greater brand awareness focused on their true value differentiation.
Digital Demand Generation Platform Performance Ineffective
Fleet Core had never been able to capture the full impact of an effective digital marketing platform. Demand generation from their website was very low and brand awareness was almost non-existent outside of their current customer base.
Website Design and Structure
Their original website was very textual and focused on describing the features and benefits of their services versus the needs of fuel-dependent customers that could be met by their value differentiated services. It was visually weak and textually overdone.
Core Value Proposition (CVP) Branding & Messaging Not Compelling
A true Core Value Proposition was not defined or embedded in their digital marketing platforms and tools. The great value that had worked to build was "hidden" and not articulated effectively in their branding and messaging.
Lacked Formal Market Intelligence and Strategic Insights
